RAS Thermal: Electrode substrates.
We weave nickel mesh on our own floor. No trading company sits between our looms and your roll — what you specify is what we produce.

WHERE OUR MESH RUNS
Every roll leaves our workshop tested for weave uniformity, open area and surface finish the three variables that decide bubble detachment, ohmic loss and long-term corrosion in alkaline duty.
Three families, all woven and knit on our own looms: woven nickel mesh (30-60 mesh, plain / twill / Dutch weave), knitted nickel mesh (single and double knit, 0.16-0.19 mm wire), and nickel wire drawn from 0.025 mm, in Ni200, Ni201 and N6.
In alkaline water electrolysis the knitted mesh is the standard porous transport layer (PTL) between bipolar plate and electrode, and woven mesh holds the electrode substrate. The same families serve chlor-alkali cells, battery current collection and industrial filtration.
The boundary is wetted temperature: Ni200 (C max 0.15%) suits clean alkaline and chloride service below 80 °C, while Ni201 (C max 0.02%) is the low-carbon choice for parts immersed in KOH above 80 °C, where higher carbon fuels grain-boundary carbide corrosion.
Woven: 30-60 mesh per inch standard band (custom 20-400), 0.19 / 0.25 / 0.30 mm wire, 35-55% open area, ±0.003 mm wire tolerance by laser micrometer. Knitted: 660-1,150 g/m² packing density and 85-98% volumetric porosity.
Products are supplied to ASTM B162/B160, ISO 9044/4783 or GB/T 5235 as specified, under an ISO 9001:2015 quality system, and every lot ships with an EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificate.
